Is CareMatch a home care agency?
No. CareMatch is a technology platform that helps people find and connect with each other. We do not employ caregivers, assign them, schedule care, or supervise care arrangements. Care seekers and caregivers decide together whether to work together and on what terms.
How are caregivers verified?
Caregivers must complete an ID verification step before they can appear in matches. This confirms identity. It is not a criminal background check, a reference check, or a license check, so we strongly recommend running your own background check before hiring anyone.
Can I find care for a child or a family member under 18?
Yes. Every account holder must be 18 or older, but the person receiving care can be any age. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative creates and manages the account for the person who needs care. Caregivers must be 18 or older.
How do caregivers get paid?
Directly by the family or care seeker, on terms you agree on together. CareMatch does not process payments between users and does not take a cut of what caregivers earn.
How much does CareMatch cost?
Basic is free. Premium is $9.99 per month and gives you more swipes and extra features. You can cancel anytime.
How do I cancel Premium?
If you subscribed in the app, cancel through your Apple or Google account subscription settings. If you subscribed on our website, cancel from your account or email us at [email protected]. Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Does CareMatch provide medical care?
No. CareMatch is for non-medical support like companionship, meals, mobility help, and household tasks. Medication reminders are reminders only. For medical needs, please talk to a licensed health care provider.
